Yeah, your perception is correct. She is a tough cookie who rarely smiles or jokes, but mainly because the Jiang Hu has forced her to be like this. Either you are the prey or the predator. As a young girl, she saw her father get mortally wounded by enemies and that image has always stayed with her. She also basically grew up without her mother, whom she searches for in the series. However, inside, she is a very kind girl who will go to great lengths for her friends and loved ones.

That pic is definitely the exception to the rule. She mainly wears this plain black outfit throughout most of the series.
Sima Chang Feng is a manly figure with a kind heart who will also do anything for his friends. However, I don't like him much 'cause he's kind of boring and I got so sick of him just giving into Ban Tian Yue so much even after learning of his evil deeds. I suppose the same can be said for Sai Hua Tuo in regards to his father Ouyang Fei Ying, but that can be forgiven for certain other reasons.

Yeah, I know. If there is a sequel, I hope that Sai Hua Tuo can find happiness with another girl who loves him back equally.

Those are really cool clips! I'm kinda glad that the guy with the dot on his fore head, forgot whats his name dies or whatever happens to him so he can't be with Shan Guan Yan. He gets on my nerves, just by looking at his pictures. For some reason he looks very feminine and annoying with his pinky finger sticking up in the air while doing his needles and thread kung fu.

In regards to SY, it's not exactly what you think or are hoping for, crazy.

It's too bad that you don't like Sai Hua Tuo/Ouyang Ming Ri. He is by far my favorite character in this series. Perhaps if you watched it, you would feel differently. In any case, I think his quick finger work is so cool.

Yay! for SGY she finds her mommy. Regarding the guy with the cool finger work, he gives me the impression that he's really sneaky and sly. And the main male lead just tells me in one word, he's your typical dumb meat head kinda of hero.

Actually, Nong Yue comes off to me as much more sneaky/sly. He also has the most gay (and no, I don't just mean happy in this case ) hairstyle. The sneakest jerk award goes to Ouyang Fei Ying. Or perhaps Ban Tian Yue.
Sai Hua Tuo (Yes, the guy with the red dot on his forehead does have a name!!! ) is very intelligent and confident. He's like a young Kongming in that regard.

You missed the point. I think he was just testing SY on how far she'd go to save someone, he DIDN'T do anything to her in the end did he? I don't think he's evil or bad for asking that. The point that he respects her and left her alone and save SCF anyway without any trades or exchanges.

Yes, SS is absolutely correct. SHT saved the gang a bunch of times throughout the series with his medical knowledge without asking for anything in return. Now if he were an evil and selfish person, he wouldn't have saved Sima Chang Feng or could have pretended to try and save him, but let him die so he could have SY to himself. SY's happiness is what matters to him the most. SHT is not only intelligent, but very forgiving (though methinks a bit too much so at times), determined, and altruistic.

Pardon me for intruding. I like the clean-cut, well dressed guy with the red dot on his forehead. He appears cool and intelligent and, from the clips, looks like he has very impressive martial arts. Reminds me of Yelut Honam in Heroine of the Yangs. Any actor who reminds me of him, I like. The female lead looks a bit ordinary, though. The directors could have dressed her up a bit and given her a nicer hairstyle, but oh well... Lady Zhuge, please post more spoilers! If you don't want to spoil the series for everyone else, please PM me. Give me the storyline involving the well dressed gentleman with the impressive kung fu. And please post more clips!

You know, although he may be a bit young, I think QZY would've been great as MYF in TLBB. So far, only the 80's TLBB with She Shao has been the only great Mu Yong Fu for me. I mean, if QZY played MYF, I'd completely understand why Wang Yu Yin was so devoted to her cousin in the first place.

Melanie: Don't worry, you're not intruding at all. The more, the merrier. You'll love Sai Hua Tuo even more once you watch this series. If you want to learn more about the actor, check out the Qiao Zhen Yu thread. There are lots of pics and some clips in there. As for the female lead (the actress's name is Dong Xuan), I don't think the above pic does her justice. I personally find her quite pretty, even though her character Shangguan Yan hardly ever smiles and usually has an icy-cold expression on her face. She is dressed plainly throughout most of the series, but there are like a couple of parts towards the beginning in which she is relatively dolled up. Another reason I like this series (besides the presence of you-know-who ) is that it departs from the typical wuxia template with the ruggedly handsome male lead who draws the attention of most of the women. Here, a strong female character is the magnet.

I will post more spoilers, but after all of my finals are over. To keep things more organized, I think I might do summaries of each episode starting with 22.

If I find any more clips over the next few days, I'll post them. Once I'm home though, that means darn slow internet.

Kikyo: That is an interesting thought, casting Qiao Zhen Yu as Murong Fu. It would be cool to see him portray an antagonist. I think he would do a good job, as the roles he takes on seem to be very diverse.

crazy: Yay, you're not as crazy as your name would indicate. Everyone has different opinions and tastes, so if Sai Hua Tuo doesn't do it for you, perhaps another character will. In any case, if you do change your mind, there is still plenty of room on the bandwagon.
