lol! Maybe he/she really did enjoyed tormenting Qi Ye...or if the writer is a girl, she wanted Qi Ye for herself...hehehehehe! I kinda like Qi Ye to end with Barbie so that he would be happy..If someone as hot, smart and caring as Qi Ye would court me, I would be sure to say YES to him without a moments hesitation but that character of Barbie was really so lame that she should choose Daniel's crybaby character....

Has anyone realise that during the opening theme song, they have this shot where Qi Ye's in that yellow-flower field (the one with Daniel and Big S at the beginning of the very 1st eps)? He's not in his scholar costumes but in the demon lord one. Is that suppose to be Qi Ye's reincarnation cos I don't remember seeing it in the serie?

So in the ending, the girls got recarnated? or is it just in their dreams? and how come Daniel looks older while Lin Wong (Wu guy) he look like the same.

The girls really reincarnated. Liu Yun looks the same cos he's a half-demon. Maybe that gives him special abilities and this is one of them

Oh, I love this TV Series the themesong is pretty nice but it seen that all chinese ghost story i have seen also have this song butit was sing by Daniel Chan. Well this is one of the amazing ghost story i have ever seen the romance, friendship, trust worthy, parentship of a mother and a father or when evil turn good and good turn evil. Through the most sadest part it will really make u cry like when each of them have someone to sacrifie for it was very moving part. Especially when the Niang Chi Chin and Chi Ye both mother die and the human mother was hung on the wall, it was horible but becaus eof that do Chi Ye has to turn evil and started kill everyone he love, He should just take revenge for the peoples who did that to his family...very sad not even HOng Ye mother could stop him or anyone else. Feel pity for them all at the end. I admire Wu Jing and Daniel especially Wu Jing he my favorite character for being so sweet, brave and protective. I hope everyone enjoy this wonderful Tv Series.

i have a question, i've seen all of the chinese ghost story movies and was wondering if the words in the song that daniel sing are the same words in the song that's in the movies?

i don't understand chinese that's why i asked.

as for the series itself, i wasn't interested in it. my family loves it but after the first couple of episodes and bits and pieces, i found it's really not a chinese ghost story alike, i couldn't watch it anymore. or maybe it was daniel chan's acting. i much prefer the movies with leslie cheung as the scholar. nie yan? was the best in there along with the human? parents.

i did catch the ending and i thought it was very sad although it didn't follow the chinese ghost story theme. i felt sorry for nie yan just cause i think he should have a happy ending and not turned evil.

The words sound the same..........I'm not 100% sure..........

Yuan's character did have a sad ending but, in a way, it's kinda like an escape for him. If he lives, he would continue to be tormented by the burden that's placed on him as well as his feelings for Xiao Qian. There wasn't much choice left except to kill his character off.

What I was pissed about was the way the characters just forget about Qi Ye after his death. Daniel brings back Barbie's character, but what happens to Qi Ye??? He's just dumped there!!! Qi Ye sacrificed a lot in the series for everyone, yet the only people who could be bothered to spare him a bit of love and care are the snow demon and San Liang...............

I still can't forget this series...I bet everyone would agree that barbie's character was weak in here although I loved her in meteor garden....her role wasn't written well.....

Yep. Leslie Cheung and Joey Wong were tons better than Daniel "should just stick to singing" Chan and Barbie "thinks she's so pretty but she's really not" Hsu.
