I don't think it's worth buying just to see Bao Bao since he's not even a lead and won't have much screentime. However, if the series is good on the whole, it may be worth the purchase. I'm going to get it while I'm in China and give my opinion once I have a chance to watch it.

Cool, another one of Bao Bao's series is out. It looks like Bao Bao will have more screentime in this one. I wish they'd release the whole thing together, though. "Duan Chang Jian" is a better name than what they had previously although it's less creative.

Sun Xing looks so weird on the cover. At first glance, I thought he was Hu Bing with a lot of makeup on. If Zhang Ting and Peter Ho match up, then does that leave Bao Bao with Han Xue?

I caught glimpses of it and Bao Jian Feng is quite a natural actor. This serial seems not too bad as a whole, light entertainment. I also saw Bao Jian Feng in another modern serial by chance but have no idea what show is that...some school setting I think.

Yep, Bao Bao is a naturally wonderful actor who just needs to find his big break.

You must have seen Bao Bao in 18 Sui De Tian Kong.

I didn't have much luck finding Bao Bao's old series this trip back. I didn't have much time to look either, though.

Yup, I've fast forwarded most of the first 20 eps. Bao Bao's was in it a lot, although for most parts, he just walked around with Zhang Ting and "Fei Mao" and didn't really do much. His part on surface was innocent almost a bit nerdy. He hasn't revealed his true identify which was an determined assassin yet. His dub was REALLY weird, the one usually used for Dicky Zhang Wei Jian, the high pitch kinda comical one. It's a pretty silly serial.

Bao Bao is in a lot of silly series. I wonder why he's never in any Jin Yong ones? I just wish he would make some that would exhibit his true talents to the maximum. I don't feel that he's reached his full potential yet.

Well, some who've seen Duan Chang Jian actually like it, especially the love relationship between Bao Bao and Zhang Ting. I've see the second part, supposely Bao Bao's character would transition into something less silly and more menacing.

Yeah, his agent should have done a better job getting him on higher profile projects like Jin Yong's series, or Hai Yan's.

Oh, so Bao Bao matches up with Zhang Ting in here? Are they involved in any love triangles with Peter Ho or Han Xue? Hopefully the storyline is good because I do want to watch it eventually.

Can't Bao Bao request to audition for series of his choice? Sometimes I feel that he needs to be more selective.

hellooo...i just finished watched Duan Chang Jian.
Bao Jian Feng he is quiet good here. I think he is Shuai-er compare to Lu Yi. Probably i'm biased because i like to watch Bao Jian Feng series.
There is no love triangle between zhang ting/p ho and bao bao. Peter Ho not even main character but for some reason his picture is bigger than bao jian feng pics in the front cover.

I like this series alot, funny and quiet entertaining. The whole series has several different case, somekind of chinese sherlock holmes i guess.

Hi zhenxi, welcome to the thread. I definitely agree that Bao Bao is better looking than Lu Yi. For one thing, Lu Yi is not as photogenic and hasn't been aging particularly well. I think Bao Bao is a better actor than Lu Yi too, but unfortunately hasn't gotten as many good roles.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on DCJ. I guess Peter Ho's picture is bigger on the cover as some sort of "drawing card", but it actually turned me off. I'm pleasantly surprised to hear that it's a mystery series.

Bao Bao wrote in his blog recently that he's currently filming a new series in Shanghai called "Chu Zu Nu You" or loosely translated in English as "Girlfriend for Rent". Unfortunately, Bao Bao is not the lead. Li Zhi Nan (also from 18 De Tian Kong) is.
